At Genuine Dental Arts, we understand the importance of taking time to get to know you. After calling to make an appointment, we set aside plenty of uninterrupted time for you! For your first visit with us, we like to take a full set of x-rays, usually including a panoramic x-ray. A full-mouth exam of your teeth, gums, and oral tissue will provide both you and our team with the best course of action from there.

New patients often ask if they can have their teeth cleaned during their first visit. Sometimes we are able to do this for you. However, if you’re in need of a deeper cleaning requiring anesthetic, or your consultation is extensive, we may need to make another appointment for your cleaning.

Absolutely. While we wouldn’t recommend getting x-rays every day, routine x-rays are a necessary and safe aspect of dentistry. We use digital x-rays at Genuine Dental Arts. This not only gives us immediate images, but also significantly decreases the amount of radiation needed for each x-ray. A lead apron with a thyroid collar is always used on you during exposure, and experienced staff decreases the need for retaking x-rays.

Your treatment plan is the work you need done to your mouth. It is organized, easy to understand, and broken down into appointments. The procedures most necessary for your overall health will be done first, keeping you safe and in the best condition possible.

Treatment planning is diagnosed by the dentist. Using cavity cameras, x-rays, visual examinations, and your input, he will determine what work needs to be done and discuss it with you. Our staff will be able to break down each procedure, both technically and financially.

New patients often ask if they can have their teeth cleaned during their first visit. Your dental treatments usually begin with a follow-up visit, often scheduled as soon as the next day. We need to see you first for a comprehensive exam and then schedule adequate time with your hygienist.
