What Are Dental Fillings?

Decayed teeth that have been damaged by cavities or other oral health issues can be repaired with dental fillings. Depending on the location and extent of the damage, different materials can be used to create fillings. At Genuine Dental & Implants, we use a composite resin that is BPA-free so that we can recreate your beautiful smile while keeping your overall health in mind.

Early detection can prevent the decay from spreading and compromising your overall oral health. This can also keep you from needing more invasive procedures such as root canal therapy or extractions down the line. During the procedure, our experts will remove the damaged and decayed portion of the tooth to prevent future damage and restore the tooth’s appearance and function.

How Does The Procedure Work?

At Genuine Dental & Implants strongly feel that proper diagnosis is one of the most important things in treating and maintaining your oral health. So, we have invested in the latest technology to aid in our diagnosis and treatment planning. With the help of our SOPRO life intraoral camera, cavities are detected clearly and without a doubt. When cavities are caught in their earliest stages, fillings may be done without numbing!  When numbing is required, we use a special topical that is specifically compounded for our patients so that the process is as pain-free as possible.

Decay is removed as conservatively as possible to preserve your natural tooth structure. Prior to filling, we place a desensitizer to calm the nerves, and then the filling is carefully placed and polished.

Are Dental Fillings Affordable?

The exact cost of dental fillings depends on the amount of fillings needed and the final restoration. Dental insurance can sometimes offset some of the cost. If needed, we also have no credit check payment plans available for your convenience. Using one of our payment plans can also have the added benefit of raising your credit score as well since all payments are reported to the credit bureaus.
